Note: Dennis Stauffer took this photo of a sunset over Bangkok, Thailand. Titled “When the Angels Leave”, the photo gives you an apocalyptic sense with the “burning” color in the sky. You get the feeling that angels are truly leaving the city by the dark storm that is approaching. I love the subtle lighting on the roads. From our perspective, it doesn’t look like you need your lights on yet, but down on street level it’s much darker. Very nice picture!
Tip: The perspective and framing on this shot shows off the size of the city. By shooting the river and distant scenery in the composition, also added interest and depth to the photo. Dennis increased his film speed (ISO) to 2000 to allow more light into properly expose the photograph. Some cameras handle this better than others, so watch for grains in your photo if you increase this to high.
