Exposure: 63 sec

Note: Jeff Swanson shot this picture in the San Francisco Bay of the Golden Gate Bridge. I love the way the broken dock/eroded wood structure that is perpendicular to the bridge. The poles are so neatly spread out, yet so broken and different. The smoothness of the water adds some serenity to the composition. Great capture of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Tip: The shutter speed (exposure) of 63 seconds allows the ocean to appear smooth and calm. When shooting slower shutter speeds, a tripod is used to avoid blurriness. The angles of the bridge and the wood poles coming out of the water are very interesting as well. Take multiple shots from different angles to get the one shot that is the most interesting and dynamic.
