Note: Dave Ovenden took this shot of a Highland Cattle in Scotland. These beasts live in harsh cold temperatures in the United Kingdom and produce a much leaner beef due to the thickness of it’s hair. Dave took this great shot up close and personal with only a 50mm focal length. The composition has so much detail from the rugged terrain to the detail of the Cattle.

Tip: You don’t need to have a telephoto lens to capture nature up close. Sometimes being in the right place at the right time can produce shot’s a telephoto lens can’t produce. Don’t be afraid to get up close and personal while shooting, just remember to be safe!
