Note: Scott Wilson took this photo of an old abandoned barn in the The Roaches, Peak District, England. The lonely & abandoned feeling is carried throughout the photography by the use of partial desaturation and deeper contrast. Dark gray clouds and the staggered trees add to this cold atmospheric look. The clouds have a nice angle to them and feel as if they are “rushing” away from you. Nicely done!

Tip: The aperture was closed to 13 to allow the distance objects to come into focus. By doing so, Scott had to slow his shutter speed (exposure) to allow more light into the camera. With a focal length of 14mm, gives a nice wide angle of the barn and view in the background.
