Note: “Places to Be” by Adam Barker, shows the madness of traffic on the streets of Hanoi, Vietnam. Traffic in Vietnam is very chaotic. Bikers, buses, scooters and vehicles of all types, pass on the right, the left and even on sidewalks. This man has been stuck in the middle of the chaotic mess, waiting for his moment to pass through the stream of crazy drivers.¬† Adam Barker took 273 frames waiting for the right moment to capture the herd.

Tip: The slower exposure setting of 1/5 of a second allows for the motion blur on the motorcycles because they are in motion. The man who is stuck in traffic hasn’t moved, therefore is clear and appears to be stuck in time. Post-processing in Adobe Photoshop or a similar program can achieve the desaturated look.
