Note: Martin Levers captured this morning sunset in the Derbyshire Peak District, England. His patience paid off because when he arrived, the sky was covering the sunrise. He almost called it a day, but decided to stay and was treated with stunning light pouring over the mountians. Excellent capture by Martin!

Tip: When shooting into the sun for dramatic shadows, it’s good to use the ‘golden hour’ rule (wiki). The rule happens twice a day. It is the one hour after sunrise and before sunset. The shadows are longer, the light is softer and the color tones are warmer. Use a smaller aperture, or higher setting, such as f/8 to f/11 to get some sharper detail in your composition if the lighting will permit.
