Note: Ivan Gomez took this photograph on the white sandy beaches of Madivaru, Maldives. I love the cold and warm tones meeting on the horizon.  The white sand blending in with the water makes it appear as if we are looking into a sea of sand.  The punch of color from the fruit grabs the colors from the sky and draws your attention immediately.  Very nice capture.

Tip: The shutter speed (exposure) of 25 seconds allowed for the water to have the smooth, calm effect.  A tripod is needed to achieve shots with longer exposures.  When shooting beach scenes, shoot in a direction that sky has more depth or interest.  It will give the sky and water enough contrast and add interest to your photo.
