Note: Antony Spencer took this photo of the Aurora Borealis about an hour outside the city of Kiruna, Sweden. He went through hell to capture this photo and waited outside with the temperatures around -25. With his gear covered in ice, he still was able to capture this magnificent show often referred to as the “Northern Lights”. The bare trees add some interest and allow the lights to be visible from the horizon. Awesome pic!

Tip: Location was a huge factor in this image. If Antony was shooting further down the road where the trees are thicker, it wouldn’t be as a dynamic photo. When shooting a subject, think about the different angles and locations you could shoot to make the shot more interesting.
