Note: Alan Mackenzie shot this photo titled “Fulking Escarpment” in East Sussex, England. The beautiful light rays striking through the clouds are casting very nice shadows of the hillside and trees. When I first saw this image, it reminded me of what a miracle would look like if it were to happen in front of you. Very powerful and dynamic photograph.

Tip: Alan took two exposures of the landscape and combined the photographs in Adobe Photoshop. The first photograph correctly exposed the sky, while the second properly exposed the landscape. He then combined the two properly exposed portions of each photograph, revealing the correctly exposed landscape and sky. Some other post-processing enhancements such as the dodge and burn tools were used to increase some of the shadows and highlights.
