Camera: Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III
Focal Length: 90mm

Note: Michael Poliza took this photo of a Polar Bear in Manitoba, Canada. The Polar Bear is casually strolling through a field of purple wild flowers, while being startled by Michael. He shot this at a focal length of 90mm, so he was pretty close to the Polar Bear. The horizon and landscape add to the beauty of this excellent shot.
Tip: When shooting nature subjects at a lower focal length, it’s good to capture the subject in it’s natural environment if it will add beauty to the photo. If the surroundings doesn’t add to the photo, think about pulling out a zoom lens and snapping some additional shots to capture the moment.
