Note: Mike Lentz captured this beautiful picture of a white wolf in the snow. By the wolf licking his lips and the snow spraying from the front paws signifying a change in direction by the wolf, it appears to be hunting or in the pursuit of another animal. The details in the photograph are outstanding and there is still enough contrast between the white wolf and the white snowy background. The texture on the hill behind the wolf adds some depth to the white background, helping boost that contrast. Very nice capture!

Tip: Mike “froze” this action shot in time by increasing his shutter speed (exposure) to 1/2000 of a second. By increasing this setting, he also needed to increase the film speed to 320 (ISO) to allow more light into to expose the photo.
