After a trip to Chernobyl in 2005, Canadian photographer Donald Weber returned to Ukraine and Russia the year after . He would spend the next 6 years documenting hardships, life and “unrestricted power”. Donald made contacts over the next few years with a cultural guide and the police. As he established a relationship of trust, the police allowed him to photograph their shocking interrogation process in action.

“Portland Timelapse” took 889 hours to make

One of the best time-lapses I’ve seen!

“Finding Portland” was produced, shot and edited in 51 days for the invitation of TEDx Portland. 308,829 still images were taken from 50 locations and put into sequence to produce the time-lapse. Each second of film averaged 3.8 hours. The video was unveiled to a sell out crowd with a standing ovation. This video tells many stories through its interesting camera angles and brilliant time-lapse.

Bullet Time – 3d light Painting with 96 DSLR cameras

So you want to know what to do in case you come across 96 DSLR camera’s?

Richard Kendall, is a commercial photographer based in London, England. He recently shot a video with the Matrix’s “Bullet Time” effect. Each camera’s shutter stays open for 30 seconds, and the result is a time-stopping mutli-angle 3d light painting. The still’s are said to be “unedited”.

The Setup:
- 96 camera rig, 30sec sequential exposure.
- A lot of running around with lights.
- Also combining manual and pulsing strobe flash.
- All real in camera imaging.
- Shoot Location: Central Studios (Shanghai)

Tyler Stableford – F16 Air Force Shoot

Tyler Stableford is an Aspen based photographer and cinematographer who recently had the chance to shoot on location at Buckley Air Force Base, Denver, USA. His assignment was to capture the F16 and shoot it in any vision he had. He chose to portray the powerful insider’s eye of an F16 pilot’s working life. Enjoy a restricted access view of the beauty and power of the jets, as Tyler endured 8 G-forces and a near black out upon take off.
